La serie di esplorazioni audiovisive di Luka Prinčič dal titolo “Interface
Fractures” esplora e riflette sull’inafferrabilità dell’interfaccia come relatione tra attori connessi in rete, e nel frattempo traccia immagini poetiche composte da suoni e luci dell’era cibernetica contemporanea. L’interfaccia non è una superfice solid ache separa cultura e natura, ma una membrane fratturata intessuta di circuiti. “Silicone” (il titolo della terza edizione della serie) è una metamorfosi della cibercultura della contemporaneità e, insimbiosi con il carbone, la base della biopolitica del tecnocapitalismo.
Immersi fisicamente in una composizione audiovisiva con suoni amplificati nel buio della sala, la performance culmina in una sintesi dei media, in una sincronizzazione sinestetica di luci e circuiti sonori che pulsano fuori dalla superficie dello schermo.
Interface Fractures III: SILICON deriva dai precedenti lavori di Prinčič in campo audiovisivo: Interface Fractures I (2013) & II (METAL,2014) (Slovenska kinoteka, Ljubljana/SI), Sublimation Revision – with Maja Delak (Linux Audio Conference, Maynooth/IRL; Piksel, Bergen/NOR; LiWoLi, Linz/AT), Schizogram and Feedforward Cinema – with Luka Dekleva (Ars Electronica, Linz/AT; Netmage, Bologna/IT; EMAF, Osnabrueck/D),Retrospections: Maya Deren (Ljubljana/SI, Dresden/D, Beograd/SRB).
Cities are lively, composite, constantly changing spaces; houses, streets, squares, courtyards, industrial buildings, green areas form a rich visual, audio and tactile mosaic. Human beings live and act in these spaces creating relationships and conflicts, both among them and in relation to the urban spaces.
The festival will involve artists from all around Europe to explore connections between visible and invisible cities through art and multimedia languages. The art works will act directly on physical spaces transforming them in active, significant elements able to tell stories and transmit emotions. The new technologies will offer a variety of approaches to research what does not appear visible within the cities, their histories and the many stories of the different communities, the social and economic relations among their inhabitants. The artworks will also explore the human ability to imagine and to plan for the future.
